Bint Rudaynah

*Sidkii x Rudaynah

Straight Egyptian *Low Nazeer/Asil mare

Bint Rudaynah is a tall and very correct low Nazeer New Egyptian mare. Her pedigree is rather unusual and hosts some old EAO breeding very up close on both her sire and dam side.

Her sire *Sidkii was imported in 1978 as a 3 year old and placed in the top 5 in most of the Western Pleasure classes he entered. He sired mostly half Arabians, 2 purebred sons and 2 purebred daughters. Bint Rudaynah is the only purebred offspring to have successfully produced on, having 3 daughters bred here at DHA.

But not to be shirked by the success of her sire line, Bint Rudaynah’s dam line is impressive. She is a Kuhaylan Rodan mare tracing to Rodania through the rare Riyala branch. Bint Rudaynah’s grand dam was the legendary Bint Romanaa who has an extensive and successful show career competing in English Pleasure, Reining, Western Pleasure, and Arabian Mounted Native Costume classes. To produce Bint Rudaynah’s dam Rudaynah, Bint Romanaa was crossed with the Gleannloch import Zaghloul, imported from Egypt in 1970 to Gleannloch Farms. Before importation, Zaghloul was a very successful racehorse in Egypt.

Bint Rudaynah’s great-grand dam was *Romanaa II who was shown in halter and was a US Top Ten mare.
